Administration

The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Trustees and is responsible for:
  • Making recommendations to the Trustees, which the Board may accept, reject, or modify.
  • Implementing any action taken by the Board.
  • Making budget recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
  • Overseeing nine department heads who supervise all town employees.
Department Objectives
The most important objectives of the Town Administrator’s office are to ensure that policy decisions made by the Board of Trustees are carried out, that all operations abide by the Town of Buena Vista’s Municipal Code and state laws, that sound fiscal and operational practices are followed, that public services are delivered efficiently and effectively, and that the quality of life of residents continues to improve.
