Cooking 101

Cooking is a skill that everyone needs, and once you learn the basics there is no end to what you will be able to prepare! This class will introduce youth to the basics of food preparation: using measuring cups, kitchen safety, cooking terms, planning nutritious meals, and high altitude modifications (which is especially helpful for us!). Each week we will focus on a different skill: healthy and delicious snacks (week 1), main courses and side dishes (week 2) and desserts (week 3).
