Planning and Zoning Commission
The Town Planning and Zoning Commission consists of five members and two alternates appointed by the Board of Trustees.

The Buena Vista Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the first and Third Wednesdays of the month at 6:00 p.m in the Pinon Room of the Buena Vista Community Center, 715 East Main Street.

Are you interested in playing a role in shaping the future of the Town of Buena Vista? The Planning and Zoning Commission has two voting member positions and one alternate position available. Alternates attend all meetings, but only vote when there are not enough regular members of the Commission present.

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews all applications for subdivisions, special use permits, and variances. The Commission has authority to review and approve Comprehensive Sign Plan Applications as well as Special Review Sign Permits. The Commission is involved with reviewing the planning and zoning related rules and regulations for the Town such as zoning code amendments. The Commission is a key partner in long range planning processes.

The Commission meets the first and third Wednesday of every month beginning at 6:00 p.m. If you live in the Town of Buena Vista and you think you are interested in becoming a Commissioner please fill out the application below and submit it to Town Hall at 201 East Main Street or mail to P.O.
