Chaffee County Fire Protection District

Beginning in May of 2021, Fire Services for the Town of Buena Vista are provided by the Chaffee County Fire Protection District (CCFPD). Please read the Town's Press Release (PDF) from May 13th, 2021 for more information. 

Services provided include Basic Life Support (BLS) Emergency Services, Vehicle Rescue (Extraction), River Rescue, Airport Fire and Rescue, Haz-Mat Response, and Fire Fighting. CCFPD also responds to mutual-aid requests from surrounding area fire departments as well as local, and national wildfire incidents.
